Dear Church Family,
We are entering the final quarter of 2019 at full speed. We have a new deacon, Keith Johnson who was ordained last Sunday night. Please pray for Brother Keith and his wife, Ethel.
Last Sunday we introduced the training course, “Share Jesus Without Fear”. It is a four-week course for anyone who realizes that our sharing Jesus is God’s purpose in our being here on earth after He saves us. Let me make it plain. Christian, that is why you and I are still here and not in heaven. Most of us have wasted a lot of precious time being silent. I hate to think how many years I have wasted and how many opportunities I have missed to share Jesus! How many lost people are still lost because I was guilty of the sin of silence! This course will equip us to be prepared whenever God gives us the opportunity to join Him where He is working in someone’s life and how to tell it. No one will be forced to go out on a campaign or challenged to “win souls”. It will not require scripture memorization. This is the easiest and most effective course of its kind that I am aware of. Classes will be offered on various days and times to make it convenient for you. Some have already signed up. Please join them and consider learning how to Share Jesus Without Fear. This Saturday, anyone who can walk and pray is encouraged to participate in a Prayer Walk in the subdivision east of the church. We will meet at 8:30am at the church for preparation and prayer. Then, we will walk in pairs through the neighborhood stopping to pray in front of each home for each family without knocking on doors. Then we will return to the church to share our experiences and a final prayer finishing by about 11:00. (An introduction will be given this Wednesday evening, 10/9/19 @ 6:30).
Let’s encourage one another to be faithful to the Lord and become active parts in what He is doing at East Ridge.
