With Thankful Hearts

With Thankful Hearts

Dear Church Family,

Pat and I had a wonderful, relaxing, rejuvenating, stress-relieving, blessed vacation. So grateful to the Lord and Bro. David and others whose gifts made it possible.
Last Sunday night we were blessed to meet Pastor Freddie Laing from St. Matthew’s Baptist Church, Grand Bahamas Island. He told how his church, along with almost every home, was destroyed by the hurricanes in September. Many lost everything they had but they still had hope. His message was very encouraging. We had the privilege of donating to the rebuilding of the church and the opportunity of being able to actually go and help do the work. You will be hearing more about this in the days to come.
The excitement of Sharing Jesus Without Fear classes is growing as more people are taking advantage of them and even more are asking if we will offer it again after the first of the year. Now is the time to take what we have learned and put it to work, actually searching for opportunities to share Jesus with anyone who God brings into our path. We need to pray daily for those opportunities and that we will recognize when God is at work giving us the privilege of working with Him. Please pray that we will become The Church That Shares Jesus Without Fear.
In a few weeks, we will be sending out letters to our neighbors where we did the prayer walks. We will be offering free Bibles to each home and family as Christmas presents from East Ridge. Please be praying about this. We will need volunteers to make the deliveries and say, “Merry Christmas”.
Don’t forget the church-wide Thanksgiving Dinner, Nov. 22 at McNeese BCM building.
We love you.
See you Sunday.
Bro. Alan

Most dads want to give their kids opportunities th Most dads want to give their kids opportunities they never had. But in the process, it's possible to focus so much on building a career, paying the bills, and providing for the future that we forget what matters most right now.

A dad can provide a house and still fail to build a home.

Here's a good reminder that our greatest investment isn't what we leave for our children, but what we instill in them.
The fear of God is a healthy understanding of His The fear of God is a healthy understanding of His strength and love. When we understand that, there's truly nothing to fear!

They need our time, our attention, and our presence.
