Adult

Whether you are just graduating from high school or you are a “seasoned” adult, we want you to have a place to jump in, get involved, and have fellowship with our church family. We always have something going on at East Ridge! Whether we are worshiping our Savior, coming together around a meal, or having fun at a game night, we always have a great time in fellowship with other believers!

College

The years after high school often mold and shape much of what our adult life will look like. Whether that is going to college or starting a career, we want our young adults to stay planted in the Word and involved in church. Our college age students are encouraged to join us for Sunday School for a class that is geared towards that stage in their life. They also occasionally spend time on the weekends going to the movies or going to eat together. We also love having them at our Young Adult Fellowships!

Young Adult Fellowship

Young Adult Fellowship is a every other month event for our college-age until 40-somethings. They meet at the church on a Friday night at 6:30. They bring food to share with the group, play games, have a devotion, and enjoy talking and getting to know one another. They always have a good time and look forward to these times of fellowship!

Sisters on Missions

Sisters on Missions is a once a month meeting for our ladies. They come together to eat, have a devotion, and pray for our missionaries around the world. Although our Sisters on Missions may only meet once a month, they are active throughout the month. Once a year, they put together shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child; as well as collect items for those shoe boxes throughout the year. They also collect school supplies to help students and teachers at Fairview Elementary. Each December our Sisters put on the annual Lottie Moon Banquet which teaches us about different missionaries and people groups around the world.

Ladies, join our Sisters on Missions for their next meeting! They would love to have you join them for food, fellowship, and the Word!

Brotherhood

Similar to Sisters on Missions, our men meet once a month for what they call Brotherhood. At Brotherhood, our men come together for supper and a devotion.

Our men also have a prayer breakfast on the last Sunday of every month at 7:45 am. They come together to pray for our church, our pastor, our community, and our country. After they spend time in prayer, they have a delicious breakfast!

We all have places, situations, relationships, and We all have places, situations, relationships, and moments where we’re more vulnerable to temptation. Don’t wait until temptation arrives to decide what you’ll do.

Put safeguards in place. And sometimes, the most spiritual thing you can do is simply walk away.
You are no longer a slave, you are a son or daught You are no longer a slave, you are a son or daughter and an heir of God through Christ

The gospel doesn’t just forgive your sins, it gives you a new identity and a place in God’s family

Sin promises satisfaction, but it never delivers w Sin promises satisfaction, but it never delivers what it promises. What looks like pleasure can quickly become shame. What feels like fulfillment can leave us emptier than before.

Satan’s strategy hasn’t changed. He promises pleasure but delivers bondage. He promises fulfillment but leads us toward destruction.

None of us would choose the painful chapters of ou None of us would choose the painful chapters of our lives. But God can redeem what He doesn't remove.

You don't need a perfect past to be used by God. Your testimony isn't that life became easier after you repented. Your testimony is that Christ remained faithful after you repented.
Sometimes we pray because we want God to change ou Sometimes we pray because we want God to change our circumstances.

And sometimes He changes us instead.

David prayed even when the answer seemed unlikely. He prayed because he knew God was merciful, and because time spent in God's presence is never wasted.

Whatever you're carrying today, keep praying.

“The peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 4:7

God may not always change the situation, but He will never waste the time you spend depending on Him.

Sometimes the consequences of our past remain long Sometimes the consequences of our past remain long after the guilt has been forgiven.

But consequences are not condemnation.

If you are in Christ, there is no condemnation. Your past does not change God's love for you, and your scars do not mean He has abandoned you.

You may still have to walk through the consequences, but you don't have to walk through them alone.

“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus.” — Romans 8:1

Christ has already paid the penalty. Now trust Him with the process of shaping you through what remains.
