Dear Church Family,

Praising the Lord for the great number of families who visited with us this last Sunday. It was a blessing to see all of the new faces. It is always a blessing when we see the older faces too. Not necessarily referring to ages, just members who haven’t been to church in a while. If that is you, come home this Sunday and make us smile.

With the slightly cooler temperatures, we are beginning the fall season. The students have returned to school. And the choir is taking a first look at the Cantata scheduled for this Christmas. Linda is inviting anyone wanting to sing to come to choir practice at 7:00 PM on Wednesday nights.

We are grateful that, so far, God has spared us from any hurricanes. We pray for His continued mercies.

God is opening some new doors to share Jesus. The BCM from McNeese is starting a new ministry at SOWELA College with East Ridge providing lunch on October 4 and sharing the Gospel with the students. Please pray that we will reach a large number of students for Christ. If you can help serve, please let Lillie Ryan know.

Ms. Peggy Lassiter will be retiring as our Nursery worker in a couple of weeks. She has served the Lord in a nursery for over 30 years, and we have been blessed to have her. Please let her know how much we love and appreciate her.

Angie Leger, who is highly qualified, including being an RN, has applied for the job and been approved by the Personnel Committee. They will ask the church to officially hire Angie at our next business meeting.

Find someone who doesn’t know Jesus and introduce them to Him.

This Sunday, I will be preaching Part 2 of the message “Prophecies Being Fulfilled in Israel”. Come and learn how close we are to the Lord’s return.

We love you.

See you Sunday,

Bro. Alan
