Online Media

Online Media

I’ve been getting several questions about our online media recently, so I figured a quick message would help everyone out!

Do we still have the ERBC mobile app?

No. We made a decision to terminate that app due to cost. Instead, we now have a mobile friendly website! If you go to erbc-lakecharles.com on a mobile device, the website will automatically resize to fit the device you are using. You can access everything (fingers crossed) on our website from your phone!

How do I listen to podcasts?

Our podcasts can be found on our website. So if you are on a computer, simply go to erbc-lakecharles.com and click the podcast button at the top of the page. There you can find all of the latest sermons from East Ridge, as well as, a button to listen to Bro. Mike Paris’ Revelation Series. We had many requests for that series to be available again, so it’s there for you!
If you are on a mobile device, yes you can still listen to podcasts on our website, however, it is easier to download the app “Podomatic”. Download the app, create a login, and search for “East Ridge Baptist Church” or “Mike Paris”. You will see our logo as the picture.
Podcasts are also available on iTunes Podcast and Google Music (if you use those).
We have some fresh podcasts ready for you, by the way! Check them out!

What’s a Blog?

Our blog can be found on our website! It is a place for important messages, updates, notes from the pastor or staff, and more. If you visit our website and click “Blog” at the top, you will see the posts we already have there. You can also enter your email address to get an email whenever we post something new! Nifty, huh?

How do I get to the Church Directory?

Our church directory can be accessed either by computer or mobile app. On a computer visit instantchurchdirectory.com and on mobile download the app “Instant Church Directory”.
To be able to login, we must have your email address in the system!
Either create a login or push sign in. Enter the email address we have for you. When creating an account, enter a password you’ll be able to remember and push create login. If it says a login already exists, go to sign in and push “Forgot Password”. This will let you reset the password and get you into the app!
Also, while you’re looking at the directory, please check all of your information! If something is incorrect, let me know. If you are missing a picture, please send me one or see me to take a picture!

Texting Prayer Chain

If you would like to be a part of the prayer chain that receives a call and then calls the next person, see the office to be added. If you would like to simply receive a text when there is a prayer request, send a text message to 81010 with the message “@erbcprayer” (no quotation marks).
You do not have to download the “Remind” app. You can if you want to, but it will come through as a regular text message if you do not have the app.

Are we on YouTube?

Yep! Here’s the link: https://www.youtube.com/user/sdrott3/videos
We need 100 followers to get a custom URL for YouTube….so click the link and push follow 😉
What social media does East Ridge have?
Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/eastridgebaptist/
Twitter: https://twitter.com/erbc_lc
Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/east_ridge_lc/
That’s all for now. If you have any questions or need assistance setting any of these up, email me at erbcsoundbooth@gmail.com or come find me at church on a Wednesday or Sunday and we can get you set up.

Get out of there. Turn it off. Walk away. Pray. Fill your mind with God's Word.

It's always easier to run early than to recover later.

Ever feel like God must be disappointed because yo Ever feel like God must be disappointed because you had a bad week?

The good news is that your relationship with Him isn't built on how well you've performed. It's built on what Jesus has already done for you.

That's the beauty of the gospel. We don't earn God's acceptance. We receive it through Christ.
You don't have to earn what Jesus already purchase You don't have to earn what Jesus already purchased.

Our standing before God isn't based on how well we perform. It's based on what Christ accomplished on the cross. Stop carrying the weight of trying to prove yourself to God.

Rest in His grace today, and join us Sunday as we worship the One who took our place.
Just because you can't see God working doesn't mea Just because you can't see God working doesn't mean He isn't.

He sees your situation.
He hears your prayers.
He understands your burdens.

Faith isn't trusting God because you understand everything. Faith is trusting Him when you don't.
Keep trusting His perfect plan.
Waiting is hard, especially when you're praying fo Waiting is hard, especially when you're praying for something good.
Sometimes God's answer isn't "yes," and it isn't "no." Sometimes it's simply, "Not yet."
His delays aren't a sign that He's forgotten you. They may be part of a greater story He's writing.
If you're in a season of waiting, this reminder is for you.
Worship is more than showing up on Sunday. It’s a Worship is more than showing up on Sunday. It’s a heart responding to the worthiness of God.

This Sunday, don’t just go through the motions. Come ready to worship the God who saved us, sustained us, and continues to bless us.

We can’t wait to worship with you at East Ridge Baptist Church tomorrow at 10:30 AM!
Church family, today is a special time set aside f Church family, today is a special time set aside for prayer and fasting. Throughout the day, we encourage you to spend time in prayer and reflection, bringing your heart, your family, and our church before God.

At 6:00 PM, the sanctuary will be open for you to come and spend time in personal prayer.

We hope you’ll take this opportunity to slow down, seek the Lord, and draw closer to Him.
Every one of us has fallen short of God’s glory. Every one of us has fallen short of God’s glory.

Our morality, our religion, our good works, and our accomplishments cannot remove our sin. That is why Jesus came.

He lived the perfect life we could never live. He died the death our sin deserved. And He rose again, defeating sin and death forever.

The good news is that forgiveness, righteousness, and eternal life are available to everyone who places their trust in Him.
