8 Years on Hwy 397

Dear Church Family,
In some ways, it doesn’t seem like we have been worshiping in this building for 8 years. But, 8 years ago we had our grand opening. Our celebration this past Sunday was great. It was not all about the building; it was about the church, our ministries, our growth and God’s blessings. Our Sunday School attendance was back up over 100. The morning worship service was packed as we baptized 2 young ladies. In addition to a good offering, a wonderful amount was given to our Forward in Faith fund that we will use to build our new education building. God’s presence was very noticeable in both services. We are uniquely blessed at East Ridge.

Approximately 50  people were in our Sunday night service who received Power Band bracelets and learned how to use them to lead lost souls to Christ. Please pray for them that God will create opportunities for them to witness and that they have the boldness to share Jesus this week. We are praying for great reports next Sunday. The bracelets are wonderful witnessing tools that we have used hundreds of times over the years. With a little practice, anyone can use them to lead someone to Christ. If you would like some and instructions on how to use them, please let me know. You can also click HERE to watch the video from Sunday night! Remember, the primary mission of the church and our purpose for remaining on earth after we have been saved is to lead others to Christ. Let’s do it together.

This Sunday, Nov. 11, we will be honoring our veterans. Can you find a veteran who is not attending church? Please do and bring them with you this Sunday.

Please mark your calendars for our Church-wide Thanksgiving Dinner at the BCM building on the McNeese campus. It will be November 16 @ 6:30 pm.

We love you; see you Sunday! ~Bro. Alan
