Sharing the Gospel Despite the Weather

Dear Church Family,

All three congregations meeting at the East Ridge locations are being blessed. I think we are being blessed the most.

Last Saturday and Sunday, the Chennault Air show took place. We had plans to distribute Gospel tracts and New Testaments provided by the Gideons. The weather forecasts were for 60-80% rain and it stormed both mornings. Many of us were praying for God to clear the skies. He did! Both days! We were able to accomplish our mission. We are praising God for answering the prayers, clearing the skies, the opportunity and for those who gave of their time and energy to take the Gospel to so many people. Now, we pray for those into whose hands we shared The Word.

Sunday was a great day with the baptism of Penelope Jones, a full house and a very moving choir special. The worship was real. The Lord was present. The people were blessed. Sunday night Brother David brought a good message and we worshiped the Lord with the Lord’s Supper/Communion.

This week, First Baptist of Lake Charles is conducting Vacation Bible School Monday – Wednesday mornings in our building. It is a blessing to be a blessing to others.

Please pray and if possible, join us as we have a Prayer-Walk in a near-by neighborhood this Saturday at 10am.

God is doing great things among His people.

We love you. See you Sunday.

Bro Alan
