We are Grateful

Dear Church Family,

We are entering the new year at a fast pace with a lot to be grateful for. We are grateful for several first-time visitors last Sunday. We are also grateful for those people who went on a prayer walk praying for the people living in Gulf Stream Manor. We are also grateful for the management welcoming our coming back in March to have a block party where we will be sharing Jesus with all who attend.
We are also grateful for the management welcoming our serving hot dogs and sharing the Gospel at Country Aire Mobile Home Park on February 18. Both locations have approved our beginning a Bible Study in their office/club house. Days and times to be set. Now we are praying for volunteers to teach. There are other locations where we could have Bible studies. So, if you would be interested in hosting one or teaching, please let Bro David or me know.
More good news: A Spanish class has begun on Saturday mornings. If you feel God leading you to learn the language of so many of the newer residents of our area, check with Brother David.
Even more good news: Morgan Field Development Corp. has offered to send a copy of a letter from East Ridge to every home in Morgan Field inviting those families to visit us. Please pray for that letter to reach the right families and that they will come. These are families that we have prayed for and tried to visit but with little response.
We ended 2022 teamed up with Emmanuel Baptist and Tom Hebert Road Baptist churches presenting a live Christmas Experience. Nearly 250 people attended. This Saturday, we will again team up with Emmanuel Baptist, First Baptist Cameron and perhaps Tom Hebert Road sharing the Gospel at the Fur and Wildlife Festival in Cameron. We will meet at our church at 11am. Come go with us.
Our working together as a team is encouraging churches that due to what they suffered from hurricanes and COVID, had become discouraged. As Christians, we are to help one another individually and as fellow churches. East Ridge is answering the call to help without sacrificing our own evangelistic efforts. Please pray for us as we take on this challenge doing more for the Kingdom of God.
The discussion about our possibly merging with Emmanuel is over. We plan to work together, but not merge.
I hope you are sensing the air of excitement as God is obviously doing some new things and blessing us with the privilege of being part of it.
SHARE JESUS TODAY.
We love you.
See you Sunday.
