Spreading the Gospel

Dear Church Family,

Wonderful news! East Ridge is continuing to share the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and in a greater way than ever before. Every time we meet to worship or study the Bible together, the Gospel is shared in the class room and from the pulpit. It goes out from East Ridge over the radio and television stations, also world-wide on the internet, on our website, our Face Book page and You Tube. Thousands of Gospel tracts are being distributed at major events like the Fur and Wildlife Festival and the Rodeo. Also, through door-to-door distribution of Bibles in near-by neighborhoods.

Next week, we plan to take the Gospel to spectators at the Harlem Globetrotters basketball game and the following Sunday to the people on the streets at the Mardi Gras Children’s Parade. In addition to these church efforts, our people are sharing Jesus in many different places where they go, some even in foreign countries.

We may not be doing everything right. But we are carrying out the Great Commission. The question is: How can we do it better? What methods can we improve on? And, the big question: how do we motivate everyone who has been saved to share their salvation experience and bring others to Jesus? I am seriously searching for answers. So, please let me know what ideas you may have.

Please pray for Don Foreman who will be leaving soon on a 90-day mission trip to Greece where he will be ministering to mostly Muslim refugees. We will have a commissioning service February 23. Please try to be there and send him off with our full support.

Many have asked about the construction of our new education building. There have been many hold-ups but we are still moving forward trusting that it will be built soon in God’s time.

Looking forward to worshiping with you next Sunday.

We love you.

Bro. Alan
