Great Commission in Action

Dear Church Family,

In the midst of a pandemic, God is teaching us some new ways to carry out the Great Commission and to be the church-in-action.

You are doing a beautiful job of staying in touch with one another, expressing concern and praying for each other. It is exactly what the church is supposed to do. Be the body. Each part concerned about the rest of the body showing our love for each other. Be the church. Way to go, East Ridge!!!

Our Sunday School teachers are doing a great job of using technology keeping their classes together as they study God’s word. Keep it up.

Palm Sunday’s Drive-in worship in the church parking lot was wonderful.

The responses we are getting from the internet sermons and Bible studies are a blessing. We are reaching more people each week than ever before because we are not limited by the walls of a church building. We have been on radio and TV and the internet for a long time, but nothing on this scale. We fully intend to continue after we are able to gather together, shake hands, hug necks and worship together again.

This Sunday is Easter Sunday, Resurrection Sunday. So, I will say no more about what we are doing or what the Lord is doing through us. Let’s talk about JESUS.

JESUS, THE SINLESS SON OF GOD came from heaven to earth, was born of a virgin named Mary, lived a sinless life, was beaten, crowned with a crown of thorns, nailed to a cross, took our sins upon Himself and died separated from His Father paying for our sins in full.

JESUS was buried in a borrowed tomb and was raised from the dead 3 days later.

He ascended to heaven where He sits at His Father’s right hand answering the prayers of sinners who cry out for forgiveness. One day soon, HE will come for all those HE has saved and take us to heaven to be with Him forever.

JESUS IS ALIVE! OUR SAVIOR LIVES!

Let’s worship Him together this Sunday online or in the parking lot.

We love you.

Bro. Alan
