Exciting Times at East Ridge

Dear Church Family,

We are living in some exciting days. God is refocusing East Ridge on reaching the lost for Christ. Several of our folks attended the Evangelism Conference and returned with a new conviction of our purpose being to help lead people off the broad road to hell and on to the road to heaven by sharing Jesus with as many as we can.
February is going to be busy month.
  • Last Saturday, the Lord led a group from East Ridge and from Emmanuel Baptist to share Jesus at the rodeo by handing out 1500 Gospel tracts.
  • This Monday, please pray for Bro. David who will be sharing Jesus at the BCM on the McNeese campus with 200+ students as we serve a free lunch.
  • God has reopened the doors which have been closed since pre-COVID days at 3 elementary schools for me to share Jesus with hundreds of children at Kids for Christ meetings.
  • Next Saturday, we will be at Country Aire Mobile Home Park serving free hot dogs and cold drinks in cups with the Gospel printed on them to everyone who will receive them. Please join us in praying for a Bible Study to begin there.
  • The next day we will be distributing thousands of Gospel tracts at the Mardi Gras Children’s Parade.
We are praising God for these opportunities and our people’s willingness to share. Please pray for and get involved in as many as you can. You will be blessed.
Ministry inside the church is also going strong.
  • We have 2 new Bible Study classes for ladies.
    • Donde Dishong will be teaching the book of Ruth at 5:15 PM on Sundays.
    • Pat Weishampel will be teaching Philippians on Wednesdays at our home at 10 AM.
  • Also new is a children’s choir led by Amber Cyr at 5:15 PM on Sundays.
  • Our youth have been busy with Bible studies and ministering to elderly and widows. Plus, they are involved in an individual mentoring program.

We are praising God for the Quinn family who joined East Ridge Sunday and for Eden Pelt who made a profession of faith and plans to be baptized soon.

Exciting things are happening at East Ridge. Tell somebody.
We love you. See you Sunday.
Bro Alan
