What a Weekend!
Dear Church Family,
It was billed as “Uplift Weekend” and it really was for all who attended. The Saturday night concert by the Brad Davis Family was wonderful but could not compare to the blessings God had in store for us on Sunday. The morning worship service began with the baptism of Jess Broussard. The congregation praised the Lord, followed by the Davis Family’s singing. Then Brother Brad Davis brought an awesome message about being spiritually blind when sight can be had by simply admitting to Jesus what you need and asking Him for it. When the invitation/altar-call was given, people were on their faces crying out to God. His powerful presence was very noticeable in both services. People are being blessed at East Ridge.
Please pray for the Louisiana Baptist Convention when we meet next week in Monroe. Several of our people will be going as messengers from our church. The state convention has been on a good and right track. Please pray that we will not stray from it and that whatever decisions are made will result in more churches being planted and more souls being saved.
Please plan to attend our Thanksgiving Banquet to be held at the Baptist Collegiate Ministry building on the McNeese Campus Nov. 19 @ 6:30pm.
Thank you, East Ridge, for loving us and showing it in such a generous way through your love gifts.
We love you. See you Sunday.
