Weishampel Retirement
- Hurricanes, including Laura that resulted in our steeple being turned upside down and shoved through the roof with the next few weeks our serving as a disaster relief supply center.
- Hundreds of hospital visits and thousands of prayers for sick folks, surgeries, heart attacks, etc. God has been faithful to answer so many of those prayers. Your reputation as a praying church is well deserved. Keep it up.
- Funerals. Way too many, but God has used us to comfort one another in those sad times, especially during the death of our daughter, Christina. We look forward to the day that we shall all be reunited in heaven in the presence of our Lord Jesus.
- COVID with worship services in the parking lot using our radios and car horns to beep “Amen!” until we returned to the sanctuary where people were wearing masks being careful to not sit too close together.
- The construction of our new education building followed by the burning of the note on our main building.
- The consistent sharing of the Gospel through as many ways as we could think of, via radio, tv, internet, and Gospel tracts. East Ridge, you have sent the good news about Jesus around the world. Keep it up.
Dear East Ridge Family,
Bro. Alan and I are just a few days away from retiring from our ministry at East Ridge. I want to take this time to personally let you know how very much I love and appreciate each one of you. Thank you all for the many ways you have shown us your love. We’ve shared special blessings, as well as times of great sorrow. We’ve studied God’s Word together, prayed together and worshiped our Lord together. So many blessings and memories. Thank you all. We love you and anticipate mighty works of God through you in the coming months and years. Stay focused on Jesus, not on your circumstances.
Also, the church is in need of an accompanist. Please pray earnestly for God to send HIS person to play the piano for worship services.
We love you,
Mrs. Pat
