Revival is Beginning with Prayer
Dear Church Family,
We have been praying constantly for revival for over a week now and are starting to experience it. I am thrilled to tell you that there is definitely a revival of prayer taking place at East Ridge. People are meeting in their homes and at church for the sole purpose of praying for God to send a revival. God is creating a genuine hunger for revival that is spawning this unusual desire to pray. If you are not already doing so, get involved. Start praying now and please don’t quit when the revival team arrives. Let’s continue praying for “Paul’s Journey” as we experience God’s answer. Remember, He tells us to “pray without ceasing”.
To experience a great revival requires more than just praying.
God tells us in II Chronicles 7:14 “If my people which are called by my name shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and forgive their sins and heal their land.” That is exactly what we need to do.
Even more, we need to make attending every service top priority in our busy schedules. Plus, we need to bring people with us. Lost people needing to be saved. Saved people needing to be revived. Bring them to hear the Word of God and be touched by His Holy Spirit.
Someone once said, “Pray as if revival depends totally on God and work as if it depends totally on us.” Only God can bring true revival. But these things are our responsibilities if we expect him to do it.
We love you.
See you Saturday night and Sunday through Tuesday.
