Frank Walker
Dear Church Family,
In spite of the dreary weather and the large number of our church family who are out sick, God is blessing East Ridge.
He is still answering prayers. Especially those for Brother Frank Walker who had the tumor removed from his brain and was singing and playing his guitar the next morning while still in ICU. When I spoke with him this morning, he was on his way to Wal-Mart and then to Church’s Fried Chicken. He hopes to be back in the pulpit at First Baptist Church in Carlyss soon. God used an excellent surgeon to do some amazing work and is continuing to glorify Himself as He heals Brother Frank. Please keep Brother Frank, his family and First Baptist in your prayers.
Baptist Men’s Day
Sunday, Jan. 27, is Baptist Men’s Day. Beginning with a Men’s Prayer Breakfast at 8:00, our men will be teaching all of our Sunday School classes, singing in the choir and preaching in both services. Please support them with your attendance and prayers, especially Brother David Dishong who will be preaching at 10:30 am and Brother Don Foreman who will be preaching at 6:30 pm.
Ladies Prayer Meeting
This Friday, Jan. 25, there will be a Ladies’ Prayer Meeting at the church at 6:30. All ladies are invited and encouraged to bring others who want to be a part of what God is going to do in response to the prayers. If you need to pray or need for someone to pray with you or for you, do all you can to be there. You will be glad you did.
LA Rodeo
We are planning to hand out Gospel tracts February 2 at the LA Rodeo. Usually, we will give out 2,000 – 2,500 in about an hour if we have enough workers. Please pray and consider helping.
We love you and hope to see you Sunday.
