God is Blessing! What Are We Lacking?
Dear Church Family,
As God continues to bless us with a sweet fellowship, Sunday School attendance over 100, great crowds during morning worship and all we need financially, we can’t help but thank Him and praise Him for what He is doing.
The only thing that is lacking is the saving of souls. We haven’t seen anyone saved or baptized in weeks. That troubles me because leading people to Jesus for salvation is our primary reason we exist as a church. We simply are not doing it as well as we should. Since the church is made up of individuals, this means that as individuals, we are not leading people to Christ. Some of us are faithfully inviting people to church and many are coming. That is good and we need to continue and even intensify our efforts. But, we cannot become satisfied with just seeing others in the church building. We need to see them in heaven. In order for that to happen, we must share Jesus with as many as we can. To do that, we must remember the Great Commission to go into all the world and preach the Gospel. Remember it. Realize it applies to each one of us and fulfill our mission.
I challenge all of us to begin each day asking God to put a lost soul on our hearts, pray for them asking for an opportunity to witness to them and the boldness to do it. People all around us are dying and dropping into hell faster than we are winning them to Christ. That has to change. We have to change.
If we are willing to do our part, the Holy Spirit will do His part in making our efforts effective. He will convict lost sinners of sin and their need to trust Jesus to save them. It must begin with you and me. Please start today doing your part.
May God bless you as you seek to lead lost souls to Jesus.
We love you. Sunday is Mother’s Day. Looking forward to seeing you.
