Christmas 2018 at East Ridge

Christmas 2018 at East Ridge

Here at East Ridge we have many events to celebrate the Christmas season and the birth of our Savior! See the schedule of events below and come get involved! We can’t wait to see you!

Lottie Moon Missionary Supper

Sunday, December 2, 5:30 PM

Join us as we learn about missionaries serving all over the world through the International Mission Board. Bring a potluck dish and come fellowship with us as we learn a bit about what these missionaries are doing.

Christmas Hang-Ups

Sunday, December 9, 5:30 PM

It’s just before Christmas and the tree ornaments have been awakened from their yearly hibernation by the movement of their storage box. It’s time! As they begin to prepare for another season on the Watson’s Christmas tree, they are greeted by a rather strange and un-Christmassy ornament: A hula-girl. The Star, the Snowman, the Angel and others don’t understand what she has to do with Christmas and give her a rather cool reception until another significant figure from the mantelpiece shows up to explain to all of them what Christmas is about and how they each have significance in God’s amazing plan of redemption through His Son, Jesus.

Join us as our children present “Christmas Hang-Ups” to us!

A Christmas Love Story

Saturday, December 15, 6:30 PM

Sunday, December 16, 5:30 PM

The choir and drama team at East Ridge present an original drama written by one of our own, “A Christmas Love Story.”

Zita, a young homeless woman, yearns to come out on the right side of life but she thinks it’s too late. When she butts heads with a few church people, she learns they recognize her inner fight because they’ve faced obstacles of their own. A rough start doesn’t mean the end. It can lead to a beautiful beginning: in Zita’s case–a Christmas love story.
